A Short Bio JR Shultz, the Owner of the Gettysburg Quartermaster
At the age of twelve, JR Shultz purchased his first rifle. This was the start of a lifelong passion for military history. He continued learning as much as he could about history as he grew up.
In the late 1970's, JR joined the Army's 3rd Infantry Regiment. This particular unit is stationed right in Washington D.C. and is the nation's number one firing squad and honor guard. During his time in the military, he was placed on frequent assignment in the Arlington National Cemetery, where he was a member of the firing squad honoring Joe Louis, Omar Bradley (the last five star general), and numerous other prominent military figures. He also was a participant in the inauguration of President Ronald Reagan. JR returned home in 1982, where he resumed his interest in the collection and dealing with military artifacts. It was shortly after his return home that he developed his interest into a full time business.
